Pale blue of an ocean wave crashing against our wreck
Sailing white of a floating bird who sings prayers of hope
Burning orb casting its rays of fire as we float on shards of the deck
Looking into the deep blue abyss thankful for the pieces that help us float

A flash of past life paired with a rush of adrenaline
As you fall over the cliffside my heart flutters like an injured bird
I leap grabbing at your hand catching it while my heart collapses within
My eyes whisper of fear but my lips quiver in silence as we prepare for an end without words.
Clouds before my eyes blocking that which is important pools of selfishness in my heart clogging the arteries of selflessness a taste of poison that devours self image born of a thought but I long to see clearly without obstruction so I walk forward to see what was blocking me and I discovered it was only myself.
